When developers built The Legacy Midtown Park, a new, state-of-the-art rental continuing care retirement community, 120 feet from a busy rail line, they knew acoustic windows were essential to keeping noise out and to creating sanctuaries and meditation places where silence is supreme.
The ground-level health center has custom SCW960-A7 windows, while the second-floor sanctuary has a custom SCW9000-A9 acoustic curtainwall.
Both systems are engineered to block sound from the busy outside world and are glazed with a white hue laminate to allow natural light in without the constant distraction of train traffic.
Project Scope: 10 fixed windows and 9 curtain wall sections
Installer: Glass House Products
