The 2007 historical restoration of the former Freeborn Bank Building and the adjacent Jacobsen Building transformed the two historical buildings into mixed-use commercial and residential spaces.
The original steel-framed windows, ranging from 14 feet high to 15 feet high in the main floor lobby, were replaced with SCW900 and SCW2500 custom aluminum-framed windows designed using national historic preservation standards.
In 2018 after sitting empty for several years, the amazing natural light and the energy efficiency of the windows attracted a tech startup company to breathe new life into this iconic structure.
