Philadelphia Navy Yard Building 18: Wings 5 & 6
Project Location: Philadelphia, PA
The SCW2500 Series historic replica windows were selected to maintain the historical integrity of one of the oldest structures in Philadelphia’s Navy Yard but also provide modern-day energy efficiency.
Built in 1904, the 110,000-square-foot building served as a shipbuilding machine shop with the Annex added to the building in 1942. Through coordination with the National Park Service, St. Cloud Window custom-made over 900 custom windows to meet glass, sightline, and finish requirements to match the original windows.
The two wings are part of Urban Outfitters headquarters and retail campus and serve to frame a courtyard meeting area and create a source of inspiration.
