Ford Center
Project Location: Minneapolis, MN
The building is called the Ford Center because it was built in 1912 as an assembly plant and showroom for The Ford Motor Company and in 1989 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Minneapolis Warehouse Historic District.
The renovation included replacing or restoring all of the windows.
Original refurbished windows were used for as many openings as possible. These windows were fitted with SCW620 interior storm windows to achieve the thermal goals of the project.
The remaining openings received SCW2500 historic steel replica windows, custom-made to replicate the design and sightlines of the original steel windows and to pass historical review.
