The SCW380 Series meets today’s performance standards and delivers the requisite securities of exterior storm windows, all while preserving the historical presence of this landmark structure.
Legislative Services Building (historically known as the Colorado State Museum) is a four-story, Italianate-style building, constructed of white Colorado marble on top of a gray granite base. The building is a contributing structure to the Denver Civic Center Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The window restoration project showcases SCW380 Secondary Glazing, protecting the restored original windows and providing modern thermal and acoustic performance without disrupting the building’s facade.
The frames of the storm window are color-matched to the exterior of the restored windows. The project’s first-floor windows are the largest in the building, 6’-8” wide by 12’-8” high.
