Beacon Tower Condominiums
Project Location: Brooklyn, NY
Design-build new construction high-rise residential tower in Brooklyn’s DUMBO area. The building is located at the noisy intersection of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and Manhattan Bridge Overpass. The windows were designed to meet very specific Transmission Loss (TL) values. Project-specific window laboratory testing resulted in an extremely quiet, STC-56+ window system.
“The real standout was the windows and how you don’t hear the trains go by nor the expressway across the street (A+++) It was amazing…”
– Condo Buyer’s Blog Entry dumbonyc.com“The building’s marketing mantra of “Zen-like calm” is reinforced with design . . . and specially-designed windows that cut the decibel level of outdoor noise by more than half.”
