Spatial Audio Studio – Rhode Island School of Design (RISD)
Project Location: Providence, RI
St. Cloud Window acoustic windows were specifically specified for the RISD Spatial Audio Studio. The purpose-built, acoustically treated room required the windows to have a sound transmission rate of STC-55 for the sound-focused research, and experiments with augmented reality and spatial audio (3D sound).
The studio is located in the historic Rhode Island Hospital Trust Building/Fleet Library mezzanine and looks out upon the busy city traffic.
